Photo: Contributed Police in West Kelowna are looking for a suspect in a serious road rage incident. West Kelowna RCMP say they were called Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. by paramedics who treated a man who had allegedly been assaulted after a brief road rage incident on Highway 97 near Boucherie Road. The victim was found in the 1500 block of Bylands Road. Investigators learned that a green Toyota Tacoma truck was followed by a black truck across the bridge in West Kelowna. “Both vehicles appeared to be jumping each other, which involved checking brakes and yelling,” says RCMP Const. Mike Della-Paolera. The black truck followed the green truck onto Bylands Rd. before cutting him off. The driver got out of his vehicle, opened the door of the other vehicle and immediately began hitting the victim in the head, according to police. The victim was face down in a ditch and was being assisted by Good Samaritans until first responders arrived and transported him to the hospital. Police are asking the driver of the black truck to come forward and give details of what happened during the altercation. He is described as a man in his 30s, fair-skinned and about six feet tall. West Kelowna RCMP are also asking any witnesses to this incident with dash cam footage from this time to contact the RCMP at (250) 768-2880 quoting police file number 2022-58141.
