Missing toddler found dead in Okfuskee County after hours of searching. Several agencies spent about 12 hours searching for Aris Moussa in a rural area with many hills, ravines, trees, ponds, in hopes of finding the two-year-old safe. State Troopers said a team from Pontotoc County and Colgate Fire found the boy around 6 p.m., about a half-mile from his home. “We talked all day about wanting a good result and we didn’t get it,” said Jason Salsman, Press Secretary of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. “After a long day and an extensive search with more than 20 agencies involved, I have the unfortunate responsibility to inform everyone that we have found the boy. Unfortunately, we found him dead.” The Muscogee (Creek) Nation said the father told them the little boy crawled into bed with his parents around 1:30 a.m. Monday and when they woke up at 6:30 a.m., he was not in bed and nowhere in at their house. The two-year-old’s father told police the boy had to go through three locks on a door to get out. “Turn those prayers now to the family and the law enforcement officers who put their hearts and souls into today’s search. The hardest thing for them is when it turns out like it did today,” Salsman said. Twenty search parties came to look for the little boy. “This is how we operate in Oklahoma. So tribal, state, federal, local not only law enforcement, but you had first responders, fire, you had horse. You had children who brought out horses and dogs. DOC was there,” said Eric Foster, OHP. “We are all together and we had many citizens who also wanted to help. And that’s just Oklahoma, and we’re proud to be a part of that.” Investigators are not saying what they believe may have contributed to the boy’s death. If you know anything, call the Muscogee (Creek) National Lighthouse Police.
