For those unable to update to iOS 16, Apple also released iOS 15.7, which addresses several kernel vulnerabilities and fixes security issues with Contacts, Maps, Safari, Shortcuts, and WebKit. iPadOS 15.7 also ships with the same fixes and may be the final 15.x branch update we’ll see before iPadOS 16 is finally released – this was delayed due to issues with Stage Manager’s new multi-query feature. Apple has confirmed the delay, and rumor has it that we’ll be treated to iPadOS 16.1 straight away, perhaps as early as next month. watchOS 9 is also out, with new clocks, redesigned notifications, support for showing sleep stages in the sleep tracker, and a new Medicines app that helps you keep track of your medication, vitamins, and supplements. There are also new custom workout options in the Workout app. This version is released for Apple Watch Series 4 and newer models. Finally, Apple TV hasn’t been forgotten either, with the release of tvOS 16 bringing game controller support for the Nintendo Joy-Cons and Nintendo Pro Controller. All of these updates should have already been offered to you if you have automatic updates enabled. If not, manually checking on any of the supported devices will result in an immediate download.
