Boal becomes the new permanent host on Monday. “I started in radio (in 580 CFRA’s newsroom) and it’s a unique and very special medium, one-on-one with the audience, it allows you to connect very closely,” Boal said. “It is an honor to take over a year that has been beautifully handled by such talents as Steve Madely and Leslie Roberts in previous years.” Boal will continue to co-present CTV News at Six alongside Graham Richardson. “Patricia is a true team player with a dynamic personality and a true passion for telling stories and breaking news. He is an extremely talented broadcaster with unique broadcasting experience in both television and radio,” said Peter Angione, director of news and information programming at Bell Media Ottawa. Angione thanked the other hosts who joined Ottawa at Work after Leslie Roberts left, including Andrew Pinsent, Chris Holski, Graham Richardson, Stefan Keyes, Matt Skube and Rosey Edeh. Whether you’re at work or working from home – stay up to date with Patricia Boal as the day’s biggest stories unfold. “I’m excited, in large part because we’ll have plenty of time to really dig into things,” says Boal. “As most people know on television, particularly the 6 p.m. show, time is always higher. (Smiles) Sometimes we count down as things get interesting.” Ottawa at Work with Patricia Boal airs Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. “I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to really connect with the guests, whether it’s local artists, athletes or journalists,” says Boal. Plenty of lifestyle content and a few laughs along the way. My colleagues at 6 p.m. on CTV in Ottawa, Graham and Matt, will also drop in daily and I promise to be polite. Most of the time!”
