It happened around 5:35 am. outside a residence near Veterans and Wanless drive, in the area of Mississauga Road and Sandalwood Parkway.
According to the Police, the officers found the victim in a vehicle in the driveway of the house. Paramedics tried to treat the man, but he was pronounced dead.
Speaking to reporters Monday morning, Peel police said they believe the incident was targeted.
“We have no suspects. We don’t even know if it’s one or many suspects. But we have cordoned off the area for the homicide office and will be looking for any CCTV cameras that people have in that area or dashcam footage of people driving in the area around 530am,” Const. Heather Cannon said. “We are also asking anyone (with information) to come and speak to the police who will be here for the rest of the day or if they wish to remain anonymous they can call Crime Stoppers.”
Police say investigators will canvass the neighborhood throughout the day as part of the early stages of the investigation.
