In the video, originally filmed for The Daily Mailthe former president is seen next to a private jet as up to nine cardboard storage boxes are loaded onto the aircraft. Former FBI agent Peter Strzok, once part of Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian collusion, noted on Twitter that the video was taken on May 9, 2021, after the National Archives and Records Administration notified the Trump team that the footage was missing and might located at the Mar-a-Lago residence. “We know things are very chaotic as they are always in a one-term transition process,” wrote Gary Stern, the agency’s chief counsel to Trump’s lawyers. “But it is absolutely necessary that we obtain and account for all presidential records.” Mr Strzok tweeted: “Better check Bedminster…” suggesting Mr Trump had ordered archival material removed from his winter home in Florida to his summer residence at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey. Further, Mr. Strzok notes that the brand of box used is the same as the one seen in the evidence photo taken by the FBI during the August 8, 2022 search at Mar-a-Lago following the continued failure to return the missing documents in the National Archives. The photo agency that shot the footage of the jet being loaded noted on Twitter that they witnessed “dozens of files being carried by assistants”. The re-emergence of the video comes days after US prosecutors warned that Trump’s team may even now be holding back some classified files removed from the White House as the former president’s term ended. The revelation was made in a Court of the Ministry of Justice asking Trump-appointed U.S. District Court Judge Elaine Cannon to allow her to continue reviewing about 100 classified records seized by the Federal Bureau of Intelligence (FBI) at Trump’s estate last month. “Without waiting, the government and the public will also suffer irreparable harm from the unwarranted delay of the criminal investigation,” prosecutors wrote in the filing. “An injunction against the use of classified records in a criminal investigation could hinder efforts to identify the existence of any additional classified records that are improperly stored — which itself presents the potential for continued national security risk,” they added. Former Obama administration lawyer and MSNBC legal analyst Joyce Allen said of the video showing the boxes apparently being removed in New Jersey: “This could be nothing, but then again, it could be very significant . We need an investigation to find out the truth.” Mr. Strzok was the deputy assistant director of the FBI’s counterintelligence division and led the investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 United States election. Previously, he was the head of the department’s Counterintelligence Division and led the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email server. In mid-2017, Mr. Strzok worked on Special Counsel Mr. Mueller’s investigation into possible ties or coordination between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and the Russian government. Mueller removed Strzok from the Russia probe after text messages were exchanged between him and FBI lawyer Lisa Page that contained criticism of Trump and his supporters. Republican lawmakers and right-wing media accused Mr. Strzok of being part of a conspiracy to undermine the Trump presidency — though a comprehensive review of some 7,000 Wall Street Journal texts found no evidence of a conspiracy. Mr. Strzok was fired and subsequently sued the FBI and the Justice Department for wrongful termination. In 2020 he published Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J Trump.
