The city is asking residents interested in attending the church service this evening at the Pentecostal Gospel Community Church to register early as capacity will be limited. Mayor Percy Farwell says US Ambassador to Canada David Cohen is in the airport town for a few days to take part in some of the commemorations. The service, which begins at 4:00 p.m., will be streamed live via rogers.com for those unable to attend in person. US Ambassador to Canada David L. Cohen graciously volunteered at the Helping Hands Food Drive during his weekend visit to Gander. The Council was there to welcome him and he is so glad he made the trip to Gander to attend the 9/11 commemorations. 🇨🇦❤️🇺🇸 @USAmbCanada pic.twitter.com/RzLodD9OTn — Town of Gander (@townofgander) September 10, 2022
