Police say a 911 call came in around 8:30 am. for a collision between a car and a business on Sherbrooke Street East near Des Ormeaux Street. The male driver was reportedly eastbound on Sherbrooke when he crashed into the convenience store. He was pronounced dead on the spot. Another man was taken to hospital in critical condition where he later died. Police believe he was a pedestrian who was hit by the car as he walked toward the building. Police say no one inside the depanneur appeared to be injured after the crash. Firefighters are on the scene assessing the structure of the building before attempting to remove the vehicle from the store. Several cars parked in Sherbrooke near the crash were also damaged. Investigators will determine if the damages were a result of the incident. Road closures remain on rue Sherbrooke between rue Joffre and rue Honoré-Beaugrand.
