THE CANADIAN PRESS/Daryl Dyck Police in Fort McMurray, Alta. are investigating a series of armed robberies early Saturday morning that they say were committed by a man and woman who are still at large. RCMP issued a press release saying the first robbery took place at a Shell gas station where a man and woman allegedly entered the store brandishing a gun and demanded money. Police say there were three other robberies after what they describe as carjackings. No one was injured. Investigators believe all four robberies were committed by the same couple — a six-foot-tall white man in his 30s, weighing about 230 pounds with black hair and brown eyes, and a five-foot-tall white woman also in her mid-30s with about 110 kg with red hair that is shaved on one side. Police say they are also looking for a stolen 2022 Toyota Corolla and a stolen 2013 Ford Escape that the suspects were driving. Anyone who spots the suspects is warned not to approach them and to call the police.
