Royal author Robert Jobson took to Twitter on Saturday to reveal a tender moment Louis’ mother, Kate Middleton, shared with children during a walk outside Windsor Castle. Middleton, along with her husband Prince William, were joined by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as they inspected floral tributes and cards left outside Windsor Castle in honor of the late monarch. “Banita Ranow, 28, in the crowd on the Long Walk, said she heard Kate telling the children next to her what her youngest son Louis had said about the Queen’s death,” Jobson wrote. “She said Kate told the children, ‘Louis said at least grandma is with great-grandpa now.’ The Queen lost her husband, Prince Philip, in April 2021. The couple had been married for 73 years. The monarch had fondly referred to him as her “strength and stay.” Louis, 4, became the surprise star at Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in June. The royal treasure stole the spotlight from his great-grandmother when he was photographed walking past the Queen to secure a good seat on the Buckingham Palace balcony. He then proceeded to shoot a series of animated faces, including him seemingly screaming with his hands over his ears, as loud planes flew overhead. Prince Louis managed to steal the spotlight from the Queen during the Trooping of Color parade.REUTERS His decidedly illegal – but totally age-appropriate – antics didn’t stop there. William and Middleton’s youngest child was caught putting his hand over his mum’s mouth at the Platinum Jubilee Pageant a few days later. When Middleton tried to correct him, the boisterous lad made a series of grimaces, stuck out his tongue and put his thumb up his nose while wiggling the rest of his fingers.
