Baykar’s Bayraktar TB2 drone was extremely popular in Ukraine, where it helped destroy several Russian artillery systems and armored vehicles. “We discussed the details of the construction of the Baykar plant in Ukraine and the production of new products using Ukrainian components,” Zelenskiy said in an online post after meeting Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar in Kyiv. A video posted online shows Zelensky presenting Bayraktar with the Ukrainian Order of Merit. In return, Zelenskiy received a traditional embroidered Ukrainian shirt with a drone.
