However, 90Min claim today that a move away from Tottenham remains a possibility for Lucas, although it will not be until the end of the season and he is more likely to return to Brazil. It is suggested that Sao Paulo are the club most likely to offer Lucas a route away from the Premier League. Despite a number of summer arrivals, Lucas’ versatility means he is still valued by Antonio Conte as well.

TBR’s take: Lucas Moura was well respected by Tottenham fans
There would be no animosity towards Lucas if he did leave Spurs and fans are likely to appreciate his efforts over the years rather than losing sleep over him leaving. The Brazilian has been a good servant for the club and although there have been inconsistencies in his game and he may not have reached the heights some believed he could achieve while at PSG, he was a good signing overall. A return to Brazil would suit Lucas well, but don’t bank on Premier League sides making a move either, given his quality and experience at this level. Have something to tell us about this article?
