A federal judge in Florida has dismissed former President Donald Trump’s sweeping lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and scores of others related to the investigation into whether his presidential campaign had improper ties to the Russian government. Speaking of legal trouble, fallout continues in a case where New York prosecutors allege We Build the Wall Inc, a nonprofit that aimed to fund Donald Trump’s border wall, defrauded its donors. Chris Kobach, a current Kansas attorney general candidate and former board member of the group, resigned from his position, announcing the move a day after Trump adviser Steve Bannon was hit with allegations of money laundering and fraud in his case wall. But some are having fun. Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton mocked former first lady Melania Trump, cheekily asking, “How’s your summer going?” on a talk show. And Donald Trump joined those mourning Queen Elizabeth. He told British broadcasters that he and the Queen had “great chemistry”.

ICYMI: Trump and Queen Elizabeth apparently had ‘great chemistry’

Donald Trump spoke to British broadcaster Nigel Farage to share more of his thoughts on Queen Elizabeth II, whom he called a “wonderful woman” with whom he had “good chemistry.” “Well, it’s a sad day. It’s sad all over the world,” the former president said when asked by Mr Farage on GB News on Thursday night what his immediate impressions were when he learned of the monarch’s death. “She was a woman who was extraordinary … she did it so well,” he added, noting that she “never made a mistake.” Mr Farage referred specifically to the time the former president met the Queen in 2019 and asked what the former president remembered from that well-documented meeting. “Well, we were only going to spend a short amount of time and we did really well and we spent a lot more time than people thought and it was really something,” he said. “We had good chemistry. And then, as you remember that night, there was a big party and I sat next to the Queen, and we just talked all night. She was incredible. She was incredible to talk to and so sharp. Her mind was so sharp and being with her was something very special.” Johanna Chisholm has the story for the Independent.

Yes, the Lincoln Project and Trump still hate each other

The Lincoln Project has doubled down on its fiery response to a lawsuit threat from Donald Trump, who mocks the former president as “evil.” The aggressive anti-Trump fundraising group had previously dared Trump to follow through on a promise to sue over her latest campaign ad, which accused him of funneling campaign money into his own pockets and called his supporters “whores ». Trump blasted the Project on his personal social network Truth Social early Thursday morning, calling them “broad and condescending” and claiming he would sue them for “false advertising.” Without elaborating, Lincoln Project co-founder Rick Wilson said Friday: “Donald Trump has not been telling the truth for 20 hours. Bad.” Since then, Trump has released several more “truths,” but none about the ad. More from our full story.

Shocking behind-the-scenes video emerges of Trump ally’s January 6 hopes

Pennsylvania Republican gubernatorial candidate Doug Mastriano reportedly prayed for former President Donald Trump to “seize power” a week before the Jan. 6 riot, Rolling Stone reported. Mr. Mastriano, a state senator, apparently made the remarks during a Zoom call with Christian nationalists. “I pray that we … seize the power that was given to us by the Constitution, but also by you, providentially,” he said. “I pray for the leaders and the federal government, God, on the 6th of January they will rise up boldly.” In the call, Mr. Mastriano held up letters he sent to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell and prayed Congress would “disregard” the certified election results. Eric Garcia has the details.

Why Chelsea Clinton Thinks Old Friend Ivanka Trump Went To The ‘Dark Side’

Chelsea Clinton said her friendship with Ivanka Trump ended when she “went to the dark side.” Mrs. Clinton was interviewed on Bravo’s What Happens Live with Andy Cohen along with her mother, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Host Andy Cohen asked the younger Mrs. Clinton about her relationship with former President Donald Trump’s daughter, with whom her mother won and lost the 2016 election. “We were friends,” Mrs. Clinton said of Mrs. Trump. “He’s not the person I called when I was curious about something about my kids or if I was discussing a life decision, but we were definitely friends … and then he went to the dark side.” Check out Gustaf Kilander’s full report.

Hillary Clinton seems to be having a better summer than another former First Lady

Hillary Clinton gave a scathing response when asked on a TV show what question she would like to ask Melania Trump. “How’s your summer going?” brazenly told host Andy Cohen that she would question the former first lady after the FBI raided her and Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home and seized top-secret documents. The former secretary of state appeared on Cohen’s Bravo show Watch What Happens Live with her daughter Chelsea Clinton to promote their Apple TV show Gutsy. The former presidential candidate was also asked what question she would ask Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, whose wife Ginny Thomas has been linked to trying to overturn Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory over Trump.

Kamala Harris says people ‘rightfully’ want Donald Trump impeached

Vice President Kamala Harris says she is wary of appearing to tell the independent Justice Department what to do, but hinted that the American people may “rightfully” want Donald Trump prosecuted. “Our country is a country that has gone through different periods of time where the unthinkable happened,” he told NBC News on Friday when asked if the former president should face charges in any number of the ongoing investigations against him. “I think that will always be the case in our country that people will demand justice — and rightfully so,” he said, adding that “justice has been served” whenever Americans really needed it. New York officials to mayor: reject Trump’s golf deals

New York officials want the Big Apple to cut ties with Donald Trump’s company over a controversial Saudi-backed golf tournament. This week, City Council President Adrienne Adams and Council Member Shekar Krishnan pushed Mayor Eric Adams to cancel the contract with the Trump Organization to host an October stop of the Aramco Team Series on its way to the Bronx. They argued that ties to Saudi Arabia, as well as the ongoing legal problems of Donald Trump and his company, made it “untenable for the City to continue to work with this operator”. It’s not the first time the former president’s golf business has come under scrutiny for ties to Saudi Arabia. He faced similar controversy when one of his courses hosted a LIV tour stop in New Jersey. Josh Marcus September 10, 2022 3:45 am 1662774329

More outrageous behavior by Trump ally Rudy Giuliani is coming to light

Rudy Giuliani, Donald Trump’s former personal lawyer, is known for being everywhere, and a new book claims things turned ugly at a party in 2016. The lawyer made “indiscriminate” rants about Muslims at a dinner he attended in 2016, at the same time his former boss considered him to be heading a commission on “radical Islamic terrorism”. The former New York mayor attended a dinner at the law firm where Jeffrey Berman, former US attorney for the Southern District of New York…
