Queen Elizabeth was known for many things that showed her identity. Her hats, her bags, her horses and her love of cars – among other things. Before becoming Queen, the British monarch was a lorry driver in the Auxiliary Territorial Service during World War II and in healthier times was known to get behind the wheel of Land Rover SUVs and go for a spin in one of the royal real estate. The British carmaker paid tribute to the Queen in a tweet on Thursday saying: “The death of Her Majesty The Queen has saddened everyone at Jaguar Land Rover and our thoughts and condolences are with the Royal Family at this time.” Land Rover donated a Defender 130 to Queen Elizabeth for her platinum jubilee.
